The ETS InstaSnake goes around the world…
 Off to Washington, D.C.
In late November, Matt Snyder of Maryland Sound International. (www.marylandsound.com) called ETS saying "they had been awarded the contract for supplying the sound system for the White House Holiday Tree lighting as well as the sound system for President Elect Obama’s inauguration."
Several months ago, Matt purchased ETS InstaSnakes (Data Sheet) and was most pleased with their performance. He wanted to use the InstaSnakes in both of the Washington, D.C. high profile sound system projects.
There were those who had trepidations…InstaSnakes in Washington? Couldn’t this be a tad dangerous? Exactly, what is an InstaSnake? First, to allay fears…they are not of the reptilian family but a type of audio sub-snake. [Read more]

ETS is pleased to announce the InstaSnake’s performance at the Obama Inauguration was outstanding. We received word the day after the Inauguration, a product representative said, “The ETS InstaSnake saved the Inauguration. I have worked in the audio field for 20+ years and this is a magnificent product.” While ETS has run the tests, it was exhilarating to hear ETS had played an important part on this historic occasion.

Word has been received from Eduardo Avellar, owner of Avellar Studios Sao Paulo: “I’m very happy to write you as we finally put the InstaSnake set to do a real job! Flying to Moscow via Quebec… |
Mr. John Vellone of Erikson Commercial (www.eriksoncommercial.com) received a contract for the Québec French TV Radio-Canada where the ETS InstaSnake sub-snake and AV902 Baluns would be used in a theater festival in Moscow, Russia. Mr. Jean-Robert De Roo of De Roo & Filles, Inc., Hamel Quest, Quebec went to Moscow for a month long HD documentary on Robert Lepage’s first shows in Russia for four different week long plays in different theatres. Not only have ETS products gone to Washington, D.C., there are ETS custom designed products currently installed in several Broadway shows. To name a few: The Wizard of Oz, Sweeney Todd, The Drowsy Chaperone and Oliver.
Shannon Slaton (www.slatonic.com) an independent sound designer, PRG Audio New York, Tony Kayne and Arom Phonphiboun of ETS have worked closely for months to design and manufacture an ETS custom-made hub for Shannon. He writes in the January issue of Live Design…

New! At the request of high-end installers, ETS has designed and now provides the marketplace a unique product – HDTV Balun with Data and IR + Audio Baluns (AV827). This product transmits signals from 480p to 1080p resolution video for use in high-end home and professional theaters. The big plus is these units can handle stereo analog, digital audio and mono-analog audio. The IR or Data pass-through to the unit gives added versatility.

ETS now offers the HDMI CAT5/6 Extender (AV961G) which gives excellent HD signal transmission with surround sound along with a high resolution picture. The ETS AV961G has signal transmission distances up to 197 ft (60m) for 1080i or 131ft (40 m) in 1080p HDMI format.
