Composite Video Baluns
Composite Video is also often called Baseband video (including
both NTSC-US and PAL-Europe protocols). This is the type of
signal found as output on VCR, VHS and other consumer and
professional grade video equipment - the difference is usually
found in the connector type: RCA for the former and BNC for
the latter. ETS has several single and multi-channel small-form-factor
baluns which permit sending these signals over UTP cable.
In addition, we have NTSC-specific and electrically isolated
baluns for customers with special requirements.

Ultra Broadband Balun
Broadband Video is a common name for the type of transmission
that is used by cable television (CATV) systems. The audio
is part of the same signal as the video, and multiple channels
are carried on the same wire, in different frequency ranges.
ETS offers both Standard and Ultra Broadband Video Baluns
- these differ in the distance and maximum number of channels
that can be transmitted over UTP cabling. These baluns have
been used in the most demanding video environment there is,
live-broadcast television studios. They'll work wonderfully
for your application, as well.

RGB Video Balun
RGB and Component Video are baseband video transmission methods
where the color values of a picture are separated into separate
signals, transmitted and recombined at the display. Commercial
and computer systems often use this type of system, which
may be referred to as RGB, YUV, or YCrCb, among other standards.
ETS has several products that address these needs, including
our best-selling PV890 RGB Video Balun. This product group
also encompasses our family of VGA Baluns, which use all four
pairs of a UTP run to send the R, G, B and combined Sync signals.
